West of the Turnpike Rats on Jupiter Farms Acreage
Jupiter Farms is an agricultural residential community of about 12,572 people spread over roughly 15 square miles off Indiantown Road. Many lots have horses, chickens, a garden, a barn and a few sheds. That is a lot of feed and a lot of places to hide.
On these lots the house is rarely the first place rats move in. They start in the feed room or under a shed, build up their numbers, and then follow fence lines, hoses and tree limbs to the home. So we look at the whole property, not only the attic.
Because Jupiter Farms is outside the town limits, a neglected property next door is a matter for Palm Beach County Code Enforcement at 561-233-5500, not the Town.
See our residential rodent control service for how we handle homes with outbuildings.
What we check on a Jupiter Farms lot
- Feed bins, grain bags and hay storage for chew holes and droppings
- Chicken coops and run edges where rats dig in for eggs and spilled feed
- Sheds, barns and pump houses sitting on blocks with open space underneath
- Wood piles, junk piles and old equipment near the house
- Tree limbs, vines and fence lines that touch the roof or the eaves
- Garage doors, AC line openings, dryer vents and gaps at the roofline
