The strip from Mandalay Avenue on the north end to Gulfview Boulevard, Beach Walk and Pier 60 on the south is packed with hotels, condos, bars and restaurants. Clearwater Trash and Yard Rules That Help Starve Rats

Clearwater Solid Waste sets clear rules for how carts go out and come back in. Following them takes away a big part of what keeps rats in a neighborhood: open garbage at night.

City code also says no one may let garbage, rubbish or other waste build up on land or waterways in a way that gives rats food or a place to live. Weeds and grass taller than 12 inches are a code violation too.

Tip: tree trimmers and landscapers you hire have to haul their own debris. The city only picks up limbs the owner cut.

We could not find a published price guide for Clearwater itself. The closest third party numbers come from Angi for Tampa, across Old Tampa Bay. They show the market, not our price.
